Privacy Policy
Last updated November 1, 2026
PokéCrown (pokecrown.io) is a fan-made website where you pick your favorite in pairs of Pokémon and see which ones everyone likes most. It is run by an individual, not a company. This policy explains what information the site collects, why, and the choices you have. If you have any questions, email sales@damagecounter.shop.
Information we collect
Account information
- Email sign-in: your email address, which we use to send you sign-in links.
- Google sign-in: the basic profile Google shares with us: your name, email address and profile picture link. We never see your Google password.
- Guest play (when offered): a randomly generated account ID with no name or email attached.
Your votes
Each time you choose between two Pokémon (or choose “Can't decide”), we store which pair it was, your choice and when you made it, linked to your account. This lets us show you your own progress and personal leaderboard, avoid showing you the same pair twice, and let you undo recent picks.
Technical information
Like most websites, our hosting and database providers automatically record technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the time of each request. We use this to keep the site running, to prevent abuse (for example, limiting how fast votes can be cast) and to fix problems.
Information stored in your browser
The site keeps a sign-in token in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in, and it remembers the last game mode you picked. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics.
How we use it
- To sign you in and keep your account and progress.
- To run the game, including your personal leaderboard.
- To build the public leaderboards from everyone's votes combined.
- To protect the leaderboards from bots, scripts and other manipulation.
- To respond when you contact us.
We do not sell your information, share it for advertising, or send you marketing email.
What is public
Public leaderboards show only combined totals, such as how many times a Pokémon has won. Your name, email address and individual votes are never shown to other users.
Services we rely on
These providers handle information on our behalf, only as needed to run the site:
- Supabase stores accounts and votes and handles sign-in.
- Vercel hosts the website.
- Google provides “Continue with Google” sign-in and the site's pixel font (Google Fonts).
- GitHub serves the Pokémon sprite images (from the community PokeAPI sprites collection).
- An email delivery service sends sign-in emails.
- Cloudflare Turnstile, if shown on the sign-in screen, checks that you're a person rather than a bot.
When your browser loads fonts or images from these services, they receive your IP address as part of that normal request. Their own privacy policies apply to that information. Our providers may store data in the United States or other countries.
We may also share information if required by law, or to protect the site and its users from fraud or abuse.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and votes for as long as your account exists. Server logs kept by our providers are deleted on their own schedules, usually within a few weeks.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you. To delete your account, email sales@damagecounter.shop from the address you sign in with (or tell us the Google account you use). We will delete your account and your individual votes. Leaderboard totals are anonymous counts and may continue to include your past votes.
Depending on where you live (for example, in the EU, UK or California), you may have additional rights under local law. We will honor those requests in the same way.
Children
PokéCrown is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
All traffic to the site is encrypted (HTTPS), and the database only allows each user to read their own votes. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will make it clear on the site.
